Disabling approved addresses is currently available only on the Gemini mobile app and will be available soon on the web. Please see below for the steps to disable the approved addresses feature from the Gemini app:
- Tap on Account settings icon in the top right
- Scroll down to Security settings
- Under Approved Addresses, tap "Manage"
- When Approved Addresses is enabled, the toggle will be to the right. If you wish to disable it, you will need to tap on the toggle, then confirm on the next screen with: Yes, disable
For account security purposes, a seven-day hold will be in effect until it is completely disabled to prevent any unauthorized withdrawals of your crypto. During this seven-day hold, you may still withdraw your crypto to your previously approved addresses. Once the seven days have passed, you will be able to withdraw crypto to any external address.
Note: As of March 15, 2022, the Approved Addresses feature has been enabled by default on all Singapore-resident customer's accounts and cannot be disabled. For more information, please see: Singapore Outbound Transfers (15 March 2022)
