Verification Process
I finished registration, when will I be verified?
Verification timelines may be impacted by higher than usual volume. Ensure your documents are current (not expired), fully visible (not blurry), and show all four corners for our team to review.

How can I open an account using an IRA/401K/Trust?
You’ll need to open an institutional account. Submit the onboarding form here and we’ll email you an onboarding package.

What documents are required for verification?
U.S. Applicants: Valid government-issued ID.
International Applicants: Passport or national ID and/or driver’s license.

Account Management
How do I change my phone number?
Update it through Authy’s phone change form, then notify Gemini Support. Do not use Authy during the change process (3–4 business days).
Reset link if multi-device is disabled.
How do I change my address?
Go to Account Settings → Edit Address → Update.
Web only.
How do I change my email address?
Go to Security Settings and click "Security Options". Enter your new email and Gemini password.
24-hour hold on withdrawals applies.
How do I change my password?
Use the "Forgot your password?" link on the sign-in page. Check your inbox for a reset link.
72-hour withdrawal hold applies.
Crypto Transfers
How do I withdraw crypto?
Go to the Withdrawal Page, select currency, destination address, and amount. Confirm with 2FA via Authy or SMS.
Why can’t I withdraw my crypto?
Possible reasons:
- New device login
- Pending ACH (4–5 days)
- Debit card transfer (24 hrs)
- Password reset (72 hrs)
- New Authy device
- Incomplete verification

Can I use a debit card to buy crypto?
Yes. Add your card, verify micro-deposits. Debit cards cannot be used on ActiveTrader™.
