If you’re about to travel abroad and intend to continue using your current phone number, download the Authy app on your phone before the trip to continue receiving your Gemini 2FA code. 

Please make sure you create an Authy account with the phone number associated with your Gemini account. There is no need to scan a QR code as we have a direct integration with Authy - everything happens behind the scenes

Please note: We recommend disabling the multi-device option located within the Authy mobile app. Disabling the multi-device option safeguards your Authy account even if your phone number is targeted by a successful phone porting attack. If you are already abroad, as long as international roaming is activated for your phone line and you are still able to receive SMSes, you will still be able to set up the Authy app with your phone number.
