How do I change my email address?
To change your email, please follow the below instructions:
- Login to your account via the web browser (currently not available on the mobile app) and go to https://exchange.gemini.com/settings/security;
- Click "Security Options" on the right-hand corner (next to your current email address);
- Select "Change Email" from the drop-down menu; and
- When prompted, enter your new email and current Gemini password.
- To verify it’s you, you will be asked to provide your 2FA such as SMS or Authy code.
- You will then be sent an email with an activation code. To confirm your email, please check your email for an activation code, enter the code, and click “Submit”.
For security purposes, changing your email address will result in a 72-hour hold on all crypto withdrawals.
