Step 1 - Sign in: Go to gemini.com or open the Gemini app. Enter your email and password.

Step 2 - Start recovery: On the 2FA screen, select "Recover Your Account".
If this option does not appear, your account is not eligible for self-service recovery. Contact Customer Support for assistance.
Step 3 - Complete verification: Verify the email and phone number on your Gemini account. Depending on your account status, you may also need to upload a government-issued ID or complete a live motion selfie.
Step 4 - Add a new 2FA method: Set up a new two-factor authentication method: either a Passkey or an Authenticator App.
Important notes
- If you are attempting the recovery on the Gemini app, ensure you have the latest version of the app installed.
- You have 3 attempts to complete recovery. If unsuccessful, wait 24 hours before retrying.
- A successful recovery triggers a 72-hour hold on digital asset withdrawals.
