Change password (App)
To change your password via the Gemini app, please follow the steps below:
- Login to your Gemini account
- Press the "Account" button in the upper right hand corner
- Scroll down and tap on the "Security Settings" section.
- Under the "Password" section, press "Change Password"
Change password (Web)
To change your password via the web interface, please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Security Settings page
- Under "Login Info," click on the ellipsis (...) and select "Change password."
- Enter your old password, followed by your new password and its confirmation.

Click 'Change Password.'
For security purposes, resetting your password will result in a 72-hour hold on digital asset withdrawals.

Reset your password if you have forgotten it
If you have forgotten your password, please follow the steps below to reset your password:

Navigate to the sign in page, enter your email address, and click “Continue.”

Click “Forgot password?” located below the password field.

Enter your registered email address and click “Continue.”

Gemini will send a 6-digit code to your registered email with the subject: "Gemini password reset request." Enter this code on the “Enter Code” page.

Follow the prompt to verify using your preferred two-factor authentication (2FA) method.

Set your new password and click “Confirm and Sign In.”
Completing these steps will change your password for your Gemini account on both the app and the web. For security purposes, resetting your password will result in a 72-hour hold on digital asset withdrawals.
