How do I redeem rewards?

If you would like to withdraw the U.S. Dollar value of your cryptocurrency rewards, you can sell the crypto in your Gemini Exchange account and transfer the funds to your verified bank account.

Can I pay my Gemini Credit Card with bitcoin or other cryptocurrency?

At this time, you cannot directly pay your Gemini Credit Card with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. You can sell your cryptocurrency and transfer the funds to your verified bank account.

What happens to my rewards if I close my Gemini Credit Card account?

Your rewards are held in a separate Gemini Exchange account and are not impacted by closing your Gemini Credit Card account. As long as you remain in good standing on Gemini Exchange, you will still have access to your Gemini Exchange account if you close your credit card and can continue to buy/sell and hold crypto in your Gemini Exchange account.

What happens to my rewards if I miss a payment?

Your earned rewards are transferred to your Gemini Exchange account and are not impacted by the status of your Gemini Credit Card. However, in the event your Gemini Credit Card account is not in Good Standing as described in the Rewards Program Terms, you may not receive rewards on pending or future transactions. 

What if I have a question about my Gemini Exchange/Portfolio account?

You can find answers at support.gemini.com. From there you can find FAQs and can also submit a question via a webform. Only basic questions about rewards and the deposits of the same to the Exchange account are handled by Credit Card associates. All other questions are handled by entering your question via the webform that will be routed and answered by the Exchange email support team.

Why do I need to have a Gemini Exchange account?

The Gemini Credit Card earns rewards in cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency you earn is purchased and held on the Gemini Exchange account. Once the rewards are deposited in your Gemini Exchange account, you are free to hold on to them, sell them or if you meet certain criteria you can move the cryptocurrency off of the Exchange account. What happens if I close my Gemini Exchange account?

If your Gemini Exchange account is closed for any reason, this will also close your Gemini Credit Card account because you will no longer be able to participate in the rewards program.

Can I pay my card from my Gemini deposit account?

At this time you can not pay your Gemini Credit Card from your Gemini Exchange/Portfolio Deposit account.

Why does my bank account need to be verified before I can withdraw dollars from my Exchange account?

For security reasons Gemini needs to verify the bank account before we move funds off of the Gemini Exchange platform.
