The ActiveTrader™ Interface
Modules are the most basic unit of the ActiveTrader interface. Examples of modules include Open Orders, Trade History, TradingView chart and Depth chart. For a full list of module types please see the Module Types section at the end of this article.
Modules can be stacked together to form tabsets which can then be placed on the ActiveTrader interface in any location and their height and width adjusted.
All modules in a tabset will appear as tabs at the top left of the tabset. Selecting the name of a module will change the display on the tabset to display data from the module you select e.g. If you have a tabset with TradingView and Trade history modules and you select the Trade history tab then the tabset will display all your previous trades. If a tabset has only one module then there will only be one module listed in the top left of the tabset.
In the picture below you can see two tabsets. The top tabset only has the Depth chart module in it. The bottom tabset has the TradingView chart module and the Trade history module.
Adjusting Tabset Height and Width
To adjust any module height or width on ActiveTrader™
- Click the edge of the module you wish to adjust
- The edge will turn blue
- Then drag the edge to where you want it to be and release it.
This will resize the module and automatically resize other modules on the screen to accommodate the change.
Adding and Removing Modules from a Tabset
To remove a module from a tabset select the module that you would like to remove, mouse over the tab with that module’s name and click the X icon that appears. Removing all modules from a tabset will delete the tabset.
To add a module to a tabset click the + icon in the top left corner of the tabset. This will open the Edit Layouts sidebar. See the Edit Layouts section on this page for instructions on what to do next.
Layout Settings
Click the Layout Settings icon that can be found in the upper left of the screen. See picture below for icon. This will bring up the Layout Setting side bar that contains the Default Layouts and Custom Layouts sections.
Default Layouts
In the Default Layouts section you can select from two default layouts
- Single Market - this arranges the modules on the screen to a preset layout ideal for reviewing a single market
- Dual Market - this arranges the modules on the screen to a preset layout ideal for monitoring two markets at once.
Custom Layouts
In the Custom Layouts section you can create your own Custom Layout by clicking the Add button that is next to the Custom layouts header.
This will bring up the New layout sidebar that will allow you to enter in the Name of your new Layout and choose a template to begin building the layout from. Templates available will be the two default layouts or a blank layout.
Edit Layouts
Either of the default layouts and any custom layouts can be edited by clicking on the layout then clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the layout name to bring up the Edit Layout side bar.
In the Edit Layout sidebar, you can
- Change the layout name in the Name field.
- Easily visualize the modules included in the layout, modules that are greyed out with a tick next to their name are included in the layout already.
-
Add or remove modules to or from the layout by:
- Mousing over the picture of the module and clicking the Add or Remove button that appears. This will add the module as a tab to the last active tabsets or, if you navigated here via the + icon, to the tabset from which you initiated this action.
- Hold the mouse button down on the picture of the module you want to add and drag it on to the screen where you want it to be placed. This can be used to add the module as a tab to a tabset or to create a new tabset with only the module selected present in that tabset.

Editing the Dual Markets Layout
For the Dual Market default layout and any Custom layout based on the Dual Market default layout the ActiveTrader screen will be divided into 3 Sections:
- Market A - This will display tabsets that show information regarding the trading pair selected in the top left of this section.
- Market B - This will display tabsets that show information regarding the trading pair selected in the top left of this section. The Trading pair selected must be different to the pair selected in the market A section.
- Account - This will display tabsets that show information related to your account rather than a specific market, such as your trade history, open orders or margin information if you are trading derivatives.
On the Edit Layout side bar under the modules header you will see all the modules you can add to either Market A or Market B, as well as any other modules that can be placed anywhere outside of Market A and B in the Account section.
