What is CUBIX?
CUBIX™ is an instant-transfer solution that allows mutual institutional customers of Gemini and Customers Bank to make deposits and withdrawals every day of the year, around the clock, including weekends and holidays.
CUBIX™ transfers operate 24/7, 365 days a year, and typically complete within seconds once initiated.
How do I add CUBIX as a payment method
Before you can deposit to or withdraw from Gemini using CUBIX™ you must send a connection request to Gemini from your Customer Bank account portal. For further instructions please contact your Customers Bank representative. Gemini will review and approve your connection requests within 24 hours.
Note: Clients who are already connected to Gemini by Customer Bank’s deprecated payment system, CBIT, will still have to send Gemini a connection request.
Once your connection request has been approved, you can add your CUBIX™ enabled bank account as a payment method to Gemini by sending a small deposit.
Upon receiving the deposit, the CUBIX™ account will be added to your list of payment methods, and enabled for future deposits and withdrawals.
How can I make a deposit?
To make a CUBIX™ deposit, you will need to navigate to CUBIX™ on your Customer Bank portal and initiate the deposit to Gemini using your Gemini deposit instructions.
To view your Gemini deposit instructions, follow the instructions below:
- From the Transfer Page, select “Deposit to Gemini.”
- Select USD from the dropdown.*
- Select CUBIX™ Under “Transfer Method” (This will display the deposit instructions needed to link your account.)
- Next, navigate to CUBIX™, and initiate a “Send” transaction (preferably for a small amount) using the instructions provided. Make sure to input the memo code into the Public Memo field exactly as it is provided. Your deposit may be delayed if the memo code is incorrect or missing.
For assistance with the CUBIX™ platform system, please reach out to your Customers Bank representative.
Please keep in mind that the deposit must come from a bank account that has the same name associated with your Gemini exchange account and the memo code must be included.
*Note: If you do not have any USD bank accounts linked, you will be prompted to add a payment method. Should this happen, then navigate to the Payment Methods page to manually add your Customers Bank account details before reattempting Step 1.
All deposits (the initial small deposit for verification and subsequent deposits) should be initiated from CUBIX™ on your Customer Bank portal.
How can I make a withdrawal?
To initiate a CUBIX™ withdrawal, please navigate to the Transfer Page and follow the steps below:
- From the Transfer Page, select “Withdraw from Gemini.”
- Select USD from the dropdown.
- Select CUBIX™ Under “Transfer Method” and the CUBIX™ enabled bank account you would like to transfer to.
- Enter the available USD amount for withdrawal.
- Review transfer details and click “Request Withdrawal.”
Keep in mind that for a bank account to be available for withdrawals, you must first add it to your payment methods by making a deposit.
Note: Once a bank account is registered as a CUBIX™ account, it will no longer be available for wire transfers.
Are there any transfer limits or minimums?
- There are no transfer minimums.
- There is a transfer limit of $1B per transaction.
Am I eligible for CUBIX™ transfers?
At this time, CUBIX™ is only available for verified institutional customers. Additionally, only clients of Customers Bank can access CUBIX™.
