What is CBIT™?
With Customers Bank Instant Token or CBIT™, mutual institutional customers of Gemini and Customers Bank have the convenience of making deposits and withdrawals every day of the year, around the clock, including weekends and holidays. CBIT™ transfers operate 24/7, 365 days a year, and typically complete within seconds once initiated. There is also a transfer limit of $1B per transaction.
How can I make a deposit?
To make a CBIT™ deposit from a linked wallet, navigate to CBIT™/Tassat Pay Platform to initiate it using your deposit instructions on Gemini. To view your deposit instructions on Gemini, follow the instructions below:
- From the Transfer Page, select “Deposit to Gemini.”
- Select USD from the dropdown.
- Select CBIT™ Under “Transfer Method” (This will display the deposit instructions needed to link your wallet.)
- Next, navigate to CBIT™/Tassat Pay Platform, and initiate a “Send” transaction (preferably for a small amount) using the instructions provided. Make sure to input the memo code into the Public Description field exactly as it is provided. Your deposit may be delayed if the memo code is incorrect or missing.
Once we receive the deposit, we will then add the wallet used to send the money to your list of payment methods. Please keep in mind that the deposit must come from a wallet that has the same name associated with your Gemini exchange account.

How can I make a withdrawal?
To initiate a CBIT™ withdrawal, please navigate to the Transfer Page and follow the steps below:
- From the Transfer Page, select “Withdraw from Gemini.”
- Select USD from the dropdown.
- Select CBIT™ Under “Transfer Method” and the CBIT™ wallet you would like to transfer to.
- Enter the available USD amount for withdrawal.
- Review transfer details and click “Request Withdrawal.”
Keep in mind that for a wallet to be available for withdrawals, you must first add it to your payment methods by making a deposit.
How can I link a CBIT™ wallet to my payment methods?
Our CBIT™ solution currently utilizes an automated wallet registration process which is kicked off when we receive a deposit.
To register a new CBIT™ wallet, simply view your CBIT™ deposit instructions in the Deposit flow, navigate to CBIT™/Tassat Pay Platform, and place a deposit (preferably for a small amount). Once we receive the deposit, we will then add the wallet used to send the money to your list of payment methods.
To view your CBIT™ deposit instructions, follow the steps below:
- From the Transfer Page, select “Deposit to Gemini.”
- Select “Deposit to Gemini.”
- Select USD from the dropdown.
- Select CBIT™ Under “Transfer Method”
Please keep in mind that the deposit must come from a wallet that has the same name associated with your Gemini exchange account and the memo code must be included.
If the memo code is not provided as shown in the deposit instructions, your deposit will NOT be processed.
Are there any transfer limits or minimums?
- There are no transfer minimums.
- There is a transfer limit of $1B per transaction.
Will I be able to make deposits on a holiday? Weekends?
Yes. You are able to make both deposits and withdrawals any day of the year, all day, including weekends and holidays. CBIT™ transfers are 24x7x356 and should complete within seconds of being initiated.
