Starting 18 September 2025, all AUD deposits must be made using the updated deposit instructions, which include a unique bank account number assigned to you.
- This number will be different from the old account ending in 2646.
- A Gemini reference code is no longer shown or required.
Steps (Web):
- Click on “Transfer ⇆” on the top right of the page.
- Select "Deposit cash".
- Select "Bank transfer".
- View your deposit instructions and press Done.
- From your bank’s online portal, send an AUD transfer using the unique account number shown in your instructions.
Steps (Mobile App):
- Tap the Transfer ⇆ icon at the bottom of the app, then select Deposit.
- Choose Deposit from bank.
- Select Bank transfer.
- View your deposit instructions and tap Got it.
- From your bank’s online portal, send an AUD transfer using the unique account number shown in your instructions.
Notes:
- There’s no need to manually add your bank account - it will be added and verified automatically after your first successful deposit
- Deposits must come from a bank account in your name.
- For institutional/business Gemini accounts, we can only accept deposits from a bank account in the name of your business entity, which must match the business name on your Gemini account.
- For personal Gemini accounts, we can only accept deposits from a personal bank account in your own name, which must match the name on your Gemini account
- Third-party platforms such as Wise, Revolut etc., are not supported.
- There is no set limit on deposits - The maximum will depend on your bank’s transfer limits.
- There are no fees charged by Gemini for AUD deposits. However, your bank may apply its own fees to process these transfers. We recommend checking directly with your bank for any applicable charges.
- Deposits are instant but may take up to one business day to process. Some banks may place a temporary hold on payments to cryptocurrency exchanges before releasing them.
