What are Tokenized Stocks?
A tokenized stock (or tokenized equity) is a digital representation of a real-world stock or equity share, created and managed on a blockchain or distributed ledger. Each token typically represents a fractional or whole share of a publicly traded company.
Gemini allows customers to trade tokenized stocks offered by Dinari, Inc. called dSharesTM. These stocks are backed 1:1 by the corresponding U.S. equity, and, when permitted, offer the same economic rights as the underlying security.

Who is eligible to trade tokenized stocks on Gemini?
Before placing your first trade of tokenized stocks, you will be required to accept the terms of service and answer a few questions to set up your account.
At this time, tokenized stocks trading is only available to our customers based in the following countries: domiciled in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
However, we’re working to make stocks available in more jurisdictions soon! As we continue to expand product availability, we will make announcements via our blog and socials.
I am eligible but I do not see tokenized stocks trading on my account
At this time, we are only offering tokenized stocks trading via our mobile app and web interface on Gemini mode.
If you haven't already, you can download the app on the Apple store or Google Play Store. If you are using your app on ActiveTrader™ trading mode, simply navigate to your account settings and toggle between Gemini and ActiveTrader™.
On web, you can change the trading interface from ActiveTrader to Gemini mode by navigating to your Profile Settings Page and selecting Gemini under Trading Interface.

What types of orders are supported?
At this time, tokenized stocks can only be traded via instant orders.
Is there a limit to how much I can trade?
There are currently no limits on trading subject to Gemini's user agreement and Dinari’s terms and conditions.
I only have EUR, how do I buy these tokenized stocks using USD?
At this time, we only offer USD deposits to institutional customers in the EU. However, you can convert the EUR balance in your Gemini account to USD.
To do this, tap on the Euro balance in your Home tab, and select the "Convert" option.
I have sold my tokenized stocks for USD, how do I withdraw the USD?
At this time, we only offer USD withdrawals to institutional customers in the EU. However, you can convert the USD balance in your Gemini account to EUR.
To do this, tap on the USD balance in your Home tab, and select the "Convert" option.
What are the tax implications of trading tokenized stocks?
Profits or losses from trading tokenised equities may be subject to capital gains tax or income tax depending on your country of residence.
