In order to add your debit card, please follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Funding Sources Page.
Add the billing address and name associated with your debit card. (Please note: This information must match the account holder)
Once this information is added, you’ll be prompted to verify your card. You will see two microdeposits on your account statement. These charges will be between $0.99 and $1.99 in value (or enter the value in your local currency).
To verify your card, we’ll ask that you please confirm the amount that was charged to you. Once verified, the charges will be reversed. Depending on your bank, it may take up to 14 days for the charges to be cancelled.
At this time, you can link two debit cards to your Gemini account. If you add an additional card, you will be able to set a default card or select another card before purchase.
I cannot find the micro-deposits, how do I verify my debit card?
The micro-deposits should appear immediately on your bank statement. Please ensure that you are reviewing the correct transaction history, and that your information was directly added to the system. If the name or address of the card are different from that of the Gemini account, the card will not be accepted as a payment method.
If you would like to dispute a charge on your debit card and Gemini, please contact your debit card provider or your issuing bank. This may result in your Gemini account being frozen while the issue is investigated.
If you believe that there has been fraudulent use of your Debit card on Gemini, or that your account is compromised in any way, please contact Gemini support by submitting a ticket here from the email address associated with your Gemini account.
