A crypto transfer on Gemini is the movement of a crypto to an external wallet or another exchange via blockchain transaction.
In order to move any crypto from one place to another, you would need a “destination address” which indicates where you would like to send your crypto.
Once you have the destination address, navigate to the appropriate withdrawal tab on the transfer page, select the crypto, paste the destination address, and enter the quantity of the crypto you would like to transfer. As always, any transaction (including crypto transfers) can be confirmed in your transaction history.
Note for UK customers: From 17th November 2023, Gemini will only permit outbound transfers to other registered TRUST VASPs. Gemini will block any outbound transfers to a non-TRUST VASP. From 8th December 2023, inbound transfers to Gemini from a non-TRUST VASP may result in temporary account restrictions. You can view the full list of registered TRUST VASPs here.
Additionally, note that only transfers of ERC-20 tokens, ETH, and BTC will be supported, with the exception of transfers to and from a self-hosted wallet. Find out more here.
