1. What is the P&L Playoff?

The P&L Playoff is Gemini’s third Leaderboard competition designed for individual (non-institutional) derivatives customers. In the P&L Playoff daily competition, the participant with the highest profit, both realized and unrealized, on the Gemini derivatives platform in each 24-hour period will win $500 GUSD daily.

In the P&L Playoff Monthly Challenge, the participant with the highest number of wins in the daily P&L playoff competition throughout the entire month, will win the grand prize of $5,000 GUSD.

 

2. Who is eligible to participate in the P&L Playoff?

To participate in the competition, you must meet the following criteria:

• Reside in one of the derivatives-supported jurisdictions.
• Be a retail (non-institutional) customer.
• Have a Gemini derivatives account.
• Have opted into the competition. This competition is strictly opt-in only.

 

3. How can I join the P&L Playoff?

• If you’re already on the Gemini Leaderboard, you’re automatically enrolled in the competition.
• If you're not, you may choose to opt in either via a web browser or the Gemini mobile app
  • To opt in via web,
    • Log on to ActiveTrader via the web.
    • In your derivatives account, select “Join the Gemini Leaderboard”.
    • Receive your Geminym. Your Geminym is the username that will represent you on the leaderboard.
    • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • To opt in via app,
    • Login via the mobile app
    • Navigate to the Leaderboard tab
    • Press “Join now”
    • Receive your Geminym. Your Geminym is the username that will represent you on the leaderboard.
    • Press Save

 

4. How are the winners determined?

Top winner (Daily)
The derivatives trader with the highest profit achieved, including both realized and unrealized, in each 24-hour period will win $500 GUSD daily.
The winner will be determined at the end of every 24-hour period, running from 00:00:00 UTC to 23:59:59 UTC, and will be notified via email.

Top winner (Monthly)

Starting from May 2024, we will also award the derivatives trader with the highest number of wins in our daily P&L playoff competition throughout the entire month with a grand prize of $5,000 GUSD.

The winner will be determined at the end of each month and will be notified via email.

 

5. How will I receive the GUSD if I win?

Winners will be notified of their rewards via email. Prizes will be credited directly to the winners’ Gemini derivatives account within 72 hours.

 

6. What time does the competition start and stop each day?

The competition is in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and runs from 00:00:00 UTC to 23:59:59 UTC each day.

That means it starts at 8:00:00 SGT and ends at 7:59:59 SGT daily.

 

7. How long does the P&L Playoff competition run?

The P&L Playoff competition commenced in April 2024 and will run daily until otherwise modified or terminated by Gemini Foundation.

 

8. Can I win multiple times during the competition?

Yes, participants have the opportunity to win multiple times during the competition.
