Customers will not be able to deposit fiat directly from their bank account into their derivatives account. Gemini Derivatives accounts can only be funded with GUSD.

Customers can transfer their available USD from their exchange account into their derivatives account via the “Transfer between accounts” option.

Any USD or USDC transfers from an exchange account to a derivatives account will be converted into GUSD at 1:1 at no cost. Conversely, GUSD can also be withdrawn from your derivatives account to your exchange account in USD or USDC, similarly with no additional costs, on a 1:1 basis.
